Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour had everyone talking in 2024, and so did the Forme Sports Bra she reportedly trained in. With a price tag close to $300, we had to find out if it really lived up to the hype.
After putting it to the test, here’s the truth…. You can definitely find better support for a whole lot less.
They sent it to us free to try out, but that’s still our final call.
I’ve tried a lot of sports bras, maybe almost as many as the running shoes in my closet (and that’s saying something!). I’m picky about what I wear, especially when it comes to comfort and support while running.
There are tons of great running sports bra options out there, from budget-friendly picks around $25 to high-end pieces like the $300 Forme sports bra. But just because your favorite celeb is wearing it doesn’t mean you need to blow your whole gear budget. That said, if it makes you feel good, you do you!
I’ll share my experience running in the Forme Collagen Power bra and a few alternatives that offer great support at a much better price.
Forme Sports Bras
Maybe the real hype around the Collagen Power bra is more about posture and muscle fatigue, less about just being a sports bra. Then we are marginally more onboard with the price tag.
If you’re like me, you probably spend way too much time hunched over a desk or slouched on the couch scrolling on your phone. And sure, you remind yourself to sit up straight, but you always wind up back into the gremlin posture. Then you head out for a run, and yep, everything feels tight and off.
This is where Forme comes in.
Created by an orthopedic surgeon, this brand focuses on what they call “posture transformation technology”. Sounds fancy, right?
It’s designed to help your body line up better so you’re not constantly fighting tightness or discomfort from head to toe. With that kind of science backing, this gear is showing up everywhere, from Olympians to pro athletes and yep, even Taylor Swift.
Whether you’re logging miles, spending time at the gym or simply logging hours at a laptop, Forme’s products are designed to support better posture and reduce muscle fatigue.

Forme makes gear for both men and women, including shirts, shorts, leggings, and a few different styles of sports bras, all designed with posture and alignment benefits in mind.
But after wearing one of their bras for a few weeks, I’m still on the fence. Yes, the concept is cool. But at over $200, I’m not totally convinced it delivers anything dramatically different from what you’d get at half the price.
Collagen Power Bra
The Collagen Power bra is designed based on the same patented technology as the viral Power Bra that Taylor Swift wore for the Era’s tour.
It’s made from a super soft CollagenTech material that’s meant to keep you cool, comfortable, and smelling fresh all day.
But I have to be honest, it was lacking some of these features.
It’s summer in Colorado, which means my sweat level on runs is somewhere between a lot and did I just jump pool? Unfortunately, this bra soaked up sweat fast and didn’t dry nearly as quickly as I’d hoped.
I also wore it just sitting at my desk as I worked to see if the posture correcting claims held up.
The Collagen Power bra features six unique tension fabrics to help with posture alignments, but every time I caught my reflection in the mirror, I was still sitting slouched over. So, not exactly the posture improvement I’d hope for. I know I was brutally honest with this review, but there were a few things that I did like about the Collagen Power bra.
There are no removable cups to mess with (heck yea!!), and it definitely works as a stylish crop-top layer for yoga or a cute summer athleisure look.
But for bigger chested runners or anyone doing high-impact workouts? I wouldn’t recommend it. Between the lack of real support and the way it holds onto sweat, I’m not sure that it’s worth spending the $228.
Collagen Power Bra Specs:
- Sizes XS-3XL
- 2 colors available
- UV Protection
- Hypoallergenic, moisturizing, and deodorizing
- Available for $228 on Forme.science.co
Affordable Sports Bras With Serious Support
You may be thinking, “ok, if that one’s not worth the price tag, then what are my options?”
Don’t worry, we’ve already put together a full article on the best running sports bras to make your search easier.
But if you’re looking for a quick recommendation, here are two brands we’re loving right now. Both have gone the extra mile to help you find the perfect fit for your body and your workouts.
SHEFIT Sports Bras
SHEFIT was founded with one mission: to create sports bras and activewear that support women of all shapes, sizes at all fitness levels.
What sets their bras apart from the ones you usually find at the running store? They’re built for a truly personalized fit, with multiple adjustment points to help you dial in the right support.
On their website, you’ll find four different bra styles, each ranked by impact level so you can choose base on your activity.
There’s also a helpful fit guide to make sure you get the right size and style for your body.
And my absolute favorite part? Every bra zips in the front, so getting out of a sweaty sports bra after a run is no longer a workout in itself.
Ultimate Sports Bra
The SHEFIT Ultimate Sports bra was designed with the patented Zip. Cinch. Lift®. Which explains exactly the steps you’ll take when you put on this sports bra.
You’re able to adjust the shoulder straps in addition to the ribcage band for a truly customized fit. You can get around a 15″ lift in the shoulder straps and 8″ of cinch in the rib band.
I’ve never put on a sports bra that felt this secure, comfortable, and even breathable. It 100% passed my super sweaty test and didn’t smell for days until I threw it in the laundry.
Coach Laura N. from our team also put the Ultimate Sports Bra to the test and immediately thought, “Wow! So THAT’S what real high impact support feels like!”.
She shared that her previous experiences wearing zip-front sports bras from other brands have resulted in painful chafing underneath the zipper, but the soft zipper garage and smooth fabric underneath the zipper itself prevented that.
So as you can see, that’s two thumbs up from our tester team.
Ultimate Sports Bra Specs:
- Sizes XS – 6Luxe
- 13 colors available

Title Nine Sports Bras
Our team is currently loving everything from Title Nine. It’s a brand that truly gets athletic gear for a wide range of body types. What’s even better is you’re not going to blow your entire budget on just one or two pieces.
When it comes to sports bras, they’ve really nailed it. One of our favorite tools is their sports bra finder. No more blindly ordering a sports bra and holding your breath, hoping it fits and that it’ll provide the support you need.
So many women are in the wrong size, which is a problem because a too tight sports bra limits performance, and one not supportive enough is exactly why a lot of girls quit sports.
They even have this T9 barbell rating system. When you go to find the perfect sports bra for your HIIT classes or even yoga, you can reference this system before clicking add to cart.
Close the Gap Sports Bra from Oiselle
This is the perfect sports bra for those hot summer days. The mesh panel in the back really helps with airflow and keeps you cooler on sweaty training runs.
I pulled the cups out right away because they just didn’t sit right and felt uncomfortable. Once I did, the fit was much better!
It’s a comfy option for running or strength training, but if you’ve got a larger bust or need more support, you might want to choose something with a higher rating.
This one scores 2 our of 5 on the T9 barbell rating scale, making it perfect for lighter-impact days but maybe not your next plyo session.

- Sizes 2-12

Shadowlite Sports Bra from Patagonia
This is a great bra if you’re after a locked-in, secure fit.
Both the straps and band are adjustable, though not in the same way as the SHEFIT bras. Once you’ve dialed in the fit, it’s super comfortable and built to handle jumping, running and anything HIIT related.
It also passes the sweat test with flying colors and dries quickly enough to wear straight to your post-run iced coffee stop.
Plus, it features molded cups so you never have to worry about them falling out in the wash and needing to be adjusted.
My only complaint? It’s quite the workout trying to get it off post-workout with the criss-cross back.
Patagonia Shadowlite Sports Bra Specs:
- Sizes XS-XL
- 2 colors available
- Check it out for $89 from Titlenine.com
There you have it, our review of the Forme Collagen Sports bra. It might be Taylor Swift approved, but it’s not earning a 5-star rating from our team.
The good news is that there are plenty of other sports bras out there that are comfortable, supportive and don’t break the bank.
