Have you seen a friend in some super cute shoes and wondered where to find them? Perhaps you looked and the logo and decided it must say QC running shoes. Well my friends, I have some news for you…
What you’re actually looking for are On Running Shoes.
Unfortunately, the way their logo looks when printed vertically sometimes folks have mistakenly started calling them qc. In fact, about 10,000 people a month are searching for a brand of shoe that doesn’t exist!!
It’s much clearer on certain shoes and much harder to read on some of their apparel.
The good new is that in either scenario, they are a fantastic brand whether you’re looking for a running shoe or a casual shoe!
QC Shoes
Now that we’ve established they are On Shoes, let’s try and help you find what you’ve been looking for. I’ve run and walking many, many miles in a ton of different models.
So I’m going to share a couple top options and then provide you links to more details on the area you really want.
Best On Cloud Casual Shoe: Cloudsurfer
I’ve also recently been testing the new version of the Cloudsurfer and have been truly impressed with this shift in Cloud running shoes. It’s a SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT option that has a slightly softer cushioned feel.
This is one of the higher heel drop options, which could feel better if you deal with any Achilles issues.
I don’t believe it provides the needed support for a long day on your feet. It is a softer shoe than the Cloudmonster, which might make it feel fabulous on a walk, but not quite give you what you need for an 8-10 hour day.
I’d be lying if I said, I didn’t also just love the look of this shoe. It shows why many fell in love with this Swiss brand. There’s some thought that goes in to the style whether for an athlete or everyday wear!
- 10 mm heel drop
- 7.2 oz women’s
- 8.6 oz men’s
Not exactly what you need?

Overall Best On Running Shoe: Cloudmonster
This is their newest shoe and the first one I would truly say feels cushioned. I am really enjoying running in these and would compare it to a Hoka Clifton. It’s my overall pick for best On Running Shoe!
The Cloudmonster has On’s biggest ever CloudTec and a lot of springy Helion super foam cushioning underfoot without sacrificing energy return, while simultaneously providing performance boost. These ultra-cushioned shoes combine a radical rocker profile with a snappy Speedboard to deliver a delightfully offbeat experience during your run.
The soft sock lining wraps around your foot for a supportive fit, and the large toe box will keep your feet comfy as they expand during your run and the shoes also come with a breathable fabric for a comfortable ride.
The Cloudmonster is a lightweight, robust, and temperature-resistant shoe that will maximize your running performance.
- 6mm heel drop
- 8.11 oz women’s
- 9.70 oz men’s

Best Wide Shoe Option for Being On Your Feet – On Cloud X 3 Shift
If you’re standing all day long you might want to consider wearing compression socks, along with finding great shoes.
The idea is something that will help you maintain good alignment so you don’t have hip, knee or back issues along with tired feet.
Street worthy style is part of their draw for many. But the real benefit comes from also feeling comfortable to wear all day long. The idea is that you could wear these to work or to workout, which means they are designed to absorb impact and keep your feet feeling good.
I have not worn this model personally! It’s one of the few not tested. But have asked a number of folks who tried it out for thoughts and many said it was the wear it everywhere shoe!
- Neutral shoe (not heavy on cushion)
- 6.7 mm heel drop
- 8.90 oz for women
All right, I hope this cleared up some confusion about qc running shoes and helped get you on the path to finding the ones that you like!
