As a female-founded brand, we’re all about lifting up other badass women doing amazing things. Let’s talk about some brands built by women who know exactly what women need. Because it’s more than “shrink it and pink it.”
You’ll find a mix of big names and small businesses here, but they’ll have one thing in common: they were built by women, for women.
Each of these brands has a similar mission, empowering female athletes across every sport, at every level. They’re not just creating great products, they’re building communities, sparking joy, and reminding us what it means to feel strong and supported.
And sure, some of these brands might sell similar things, but that doesn’t mean one is better than the other. There’s room for all of us! Like Serena Williams said, “We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”
Just like so many of you have supported Run to the Finish, we’re proud to support these women-owned brands in the fitness space.

Title Nine – Swim, Run, Life They Cover All Your Athletic Body Needs
Founder Missy Park named the brand after the well-known 1972 act that made it illegal for any public institution to limit participation in sports based on a person’s gender. It changed her life, and she’s determined to help change the lives of other women.
When you head to the website, don’t miss the Women-Owned section. It’s an easy way to shop and support incredible women-owned brands like Oiselle, Skida, Rabbit, and more.
You’ll also find the T9 Movers and Makers, a powerful group of women making a difference in their communities. It’s all about creating a space where all types of women support all types of women, and that’s something we can always get behind.
Our team is currently loving everything from Title Nine, especially their athletic dresses and swim suits. It’s a brand that truly gets athletic gear for a wide range of body types. What’s even better is you’re not going to blow your entire budget on just one or two pieces.

A fun feature is that this dress has UPF 50 protection, which is a super bonus. Spending days outside, you want to wear not only something that’s a quick-drying breathable outfit, but feeling a little extra protected.
This dress is perfect because you can wear it as a swim cover-up, a post-workout quick change to run errands, or a cute weekend outfit.
Oiselle – Performance Driven Running Gear
Oiselle has been around since 2007, built by women, for women, with a focus on performance-driven apparel that actually feels good to wear.
From day one, their mission has been clear: “design great products, build the sisterhood, improve the sport.” It doesn’t matter how fast you are or how long you’ve been running, Oiselle is all bout celebrating the joy of running and creating a space where every woman belongs.

We all love running shorts with pockets for all your storage needs, look no further. Coach Amanda wore hers enough to get holes in them…after a good 7 years.
There are two pockets, one on each leg, that are great for a phone, and there’s also a back zippered pocket and 2 side mesh pockets in the waistband. The wide waistband is flattering and not so tight that it creates the dreaded muffin top look.
These shorts stood out for a few other reasons, too, including the fact that they come in three different inseams. The longer length can be really great in preventing chafing!
Branwyn – Wool That Works Even When You Don’t See It
Finding underwear that actually works for running is weirdly hard. That’s exactly what led Shawna to create Branwyn. She couldn’t find anything that felt good to wear during a workout; most options were polyester or cotton, which don’t exactly scream breathable, especially while running.
After tons of research and testing, she landed on what she now calls the perfect pair made of a combo of Merino wool, nylon, and elastane.
Yes, you read that right, wool underwear. Don’t worry though, it’s not the itchy kind, it’s soft, moisture-wicking wicking and odor-resistant. Basically, exactly what you want when you’re sweating during a workout or on race day.
Coach Amanda says this is one of her go to running underwear options You can purchase items in all different colors and even shades of nude, which will fit many different skin tones.
What we’re currently loving from Branwyn: Essential Hipster
- Price: $40.00
- Material: Seamless merino wool
- Moisture-wicking: Yes
- Quick-drying: Yes
- Sizes: S-XXL
- Available in 6 colors
Amanda tested out the seamless design in the Chicago marathon and track workouts. She said that they felt fantastic and lived up to their reputation of being soft, natural, odor-resistant, and moisture-wicking. These features are all thanks to being merino wool.
But we’ve been equally excited to see them branching out. Their winter hoodie is a travel must have for us now and the new compression shorts FINALLY give us a soft fabric for recovery.
Fuel Goods – Meeting All Your Carb Needs
Fuel Goods launched in 2024, but founders Laura and Courtney have been part of the running world for over a decade. They first created the RunnerBox back in 2013, then added the RiderBox in 2015 to support even more athletes.
Fuel Goods was born from their desire to build a brand where every athlete feels like they belong. It’s your one-stop shop for fueling whatever sport is, whether you’re training, racing, or just out for some fun.
You can head to the site to stock up on your go-to favorites, or let the Fuel Goods team surprise you with a sample box. It’s a fun way to discover new products and switch up your fueling.
As run coaches, one of our favorites is their Race Day boxes. These are packed with exactly what you need to get through your marathon, like 60 grams of carbs per hour, plus a few extras to keep you fueled and feeling good from the start of race day all the way through the end.

Ryka – Shoes Just for Women, Let’s Walk
Ryka, founded by Sheri Poe, was the first brand to create athletic shoes specifically for women.
Each pair of shoes, regardless of the activity, is going to be based on the Ryka Q technology. “Our game-changing tech is based on the ‘Q Angle’, the inside angle of the quadriceps muscle that is 3-4% great in women than men, which impacts a women’s stance and weight distribution on her feet.”
Ryka’s got you covered with shoes for running, walking, pickleball, and everything in between. They’re super comfortable, stylish, and designed to keep up with you wherever the day takes you.
But Ryka isn’t just about shoes. They’re building a community in LA, Nashville, and New York, with meetups and events that bring women together throughout the year. We love seeing women show up for each other and can’t wait to try more from Ryka.
What we’re currently loving from Ryka: Devo X Max
- Weight: 8.6 oz Women’s only
- Heel drop: 10 mm
- Available in 14 colors
- Available in wide for specific colors
- Available from Ryka.com for $90
The Ryka Devotion Collection was designed to get you through almost any type of workout. You can grab the Ryka Devo X Max for power walks, run/walk intervals, and even a HIIT class.
Since Ryka shoes are designed for women, the structure of the shoe is a little different than most. You’ll find that there’s a wider forefoot and a narrower heel for a more secure fit.
Bonus points because there are a ton of colorways, and no matter what you pick, they’re going to go with every outfit.
QEJA – No Blisters Here
